Payment Terms
Upon hiring Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain, the customer agrees to the following payment terms:
1. Estimate and Approval
Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain will provide an estimate for the work. Any additional work or changes to the scope must be approved by the customer in writing and may result in additional charges.
2. Deposit
A deposit of 50% may be required prior to commencement of work, depending on what was discussed and agreed upon with Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain.
3. Payment Due Date
Full payment is due on the day the job is completed, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
4. Late Payments
A late payment fee of 3% will be applied to any overdue balance beyond 30 days.
5. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- E-Transfer
- Cheques
- Money Order
- Credit Card
6. Non-Payment
Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain reserves the right to take legal action or place a lien on the property for unpaid balances, including recovery of legal fees if applicable.
Limitation of Liability
Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain is not responsible for:
- Damages caused by pre-existing conditions or defects.
- Damages caused by faulty materials or equipment supplied by the customer.
- Loss or damage due to circumstances beyond the plumber's control (e.g., hidden obstructions, natural disasters).
Customer Responsibilities
The customer must:
- Notify the plumber of any pre-existing issues or hazards (e.g., if a drain-opening chemical was used prior to the plumber running drain equipment).
- Understand that concealed defects may not be discovered until work commences.
- Monitor the area for leaks or deficiencies that may appear after the plumber has left and notify the plumber in a timely manner.
Warranty
- Workmanship Warranty: Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain provides a 1-year workmanship warranty from the date the work was completed.
- Exclusions:
- Certain services, such as drain cleaning, do not include a workmanship warranty, as we have no control over what is put into a customer's drain or the pre-existing condition of the drain.
- No warranty is provided on any customer-supplied materials.
- Manufacturer Warranty: Any materials supplied by Tarzan and Jane Plumbing Heating and Drain will be warrantied through the manufacturer.
